Claudio R. Roman Esq.
Mr. Roman is a practicing attorney in Houston, Texas. His corporate and transactional practice has included the representation of financial institutions such as Universal Savings and Loan, Gulfport Savings and Loan and Germantown Savings and Loan.
He is one of the 2015 recipients of the "Italian Flame" Award for character, leadership and community service bestowed by the Italian Cultural & Community Center.
He represented Belleli USA, Inc. and Belleli S.p.a. in, among others, their negotiations with Shell Oil for the fabrication of the Mars, Ursula and three other tension leg platforms now operating in the Gulf of Mexico. That transaction alone generated over one billion dollars in revenue for Belleli, a company with over 12,000 employees.
He represented ABB-Soimi on several issues concerning their consortium power plant fabrication in Kazakhstan and Nigeria.
He is counsel to Forgital Inc., a 200 million dollar manufacturer of valves, forgings and specialty components for the oil field, space, defense and heavy equipment industries.
He is counsel to Graphistudio, the global leader and original maker of The Wedding Book. Graphistudio serves over 45,000 photography studios worldwide and has its very own Iphone app and Aperture 3 software plugin.
He litigated on behalf of Anderson-Greenwood, a safety relief valve manufacturer, before that company became part of Tyco.
He formed and managed FAA Trust corporations that operated US flag corporate aircraft abroad, on a turn key basis, including the purchase and sale of Lear and Cessna Citation jets.
He managed and liquidated a multi-million dollar real estate portfolio on behalf of an educational and charitable order of the Catholic Church.
He has represented the General Consulate of Italy in Houston for over twenty years.
In addition, he has advised several U.S. companies on doing business in Europe and Latin America.
He has formed, represented or managed corporations in the Cayman Islands, Chile, Isle of Man, Netherlands Antilles, Mexico, Uruguay and Venezuela.
He served as an officer and director of several private and public companies such as AG General Insurance, Endovasc Inc. and Centenary International Inc.
From 1998 to 2010, Mr. Roman served as Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer of Ultimate Communications, Inc., a niche-market telecommunications company. Under his leadership Ultimate Communications, Inc. achieved revenues of over 100 million dollars.
He graduated from the University of Houston with a B.A. in political science in 1980. He received his Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from the University Of Houston College Of Law in 1984 and was admitted to the Bar of the State of Texas in the same year. In 1985 he was admitted to the Bar of Washington D.C. and practices in the Federal Courts for the Southern District of Texas as well as the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Roman is fluent in English, Spanish and Italian.
His philanthropic endeavors include being co-founder of the Katy Contemporary Arts Museum, founded in 2013. Mr. Roman is a member of the Houston Safari Club, the Texas Gun Collector's Association, the Italian Cultural & Community Center, and the Italy in America Chamber of Commerce.
